TIPOS, národná lotériová spoločnosť, a. s. is a company wholly owned by the state, whose shareholding rights are exercised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Slovak Republic.
One of TIPOS’s key missions is to support numerous charitable projects in sport, the arts and the social sphere. The funding it channels into this work is generated by its numerical lotteries, odds betting, online gambling and sales of scratch cards.
TIPOS’s corporate visions are: to be the sector’s enduring leader and a company whose prosperity can be used in the pursuit of socially responsible missions; to symbolise the success that can be achieved by a state-run business project; to spearhead responsible gaming and provide problem gambling assistance; and to be a strong ally of sports, cultural and social projects.
TIPOS aspires to be a successful state enterprise, a leader in social responsibility, a partner and an investor channelling much of its revenues into sports, social projects and the arts.
The Company was established under a memorandum of association signed on 11 December 1992 and was incorporated by entry in the Commercial Register maintained by Bratislava I District Court on 28 January 1993. Its original registered capital of SKK 4 million has since grown to EUR 1,700,000.

This is the Company’s supreme body. The rights of the sole shareholder, which is the Slovak Republic, are exercised by the country’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports in accordance with Section 3(1) of Act no. 30/2019 Coll. on games of chance and amending certain acts (the Gambling Act).
This is the Company’s governing body. It is empowered to act on behalf of the Company in all matters involving third parties, courts of law and other authorities. The board of directors manages the Company’s operations and takes decisions on all Company matters unless (whether by law or under the Company’s articles of association) they fall within the purview of other Company bodies.
This is the Company’s supreme supervisory body. It supervises the exercise of powers by the board of directors and the performance of the Company’s business activities. It reports to the Company’s general meeting on its results.
